Hack The Box Launches Global Cyber Skills Benchmark 2025: A Must-Attend Event for Corporate Teams
Hack The Box (HTB) is thrilled to announce the return of its esteemed competition, the Global Cyber Skills Benchmark 2025, previously known as the HTB Business CTF. Set to take place from May 23 to May 27, this exciting event invites corporate teams around the globe to test their cybersecurity prowess against the ever-evolving threat landscape. With its fourth year running, the Global Cyber Skills Benchmark promises to deliver an unparalleled opportunity for organizations to assess and enhance their cybersecurity capabilities.
Why Benchmarking Matters in Cybersecurity
In today’s digital age, organizations are constantly bombarded by a plethora of cyber threats, making robust cybersecurity practices more critical than ever. Continuous benchmarking against industry peers is essential for teams to evaluate their skills and pinpoint areas requiring improvement. According to HTB’s research, a staggering 70% of managers find team-based assessments, such as Capture The Flag (CTF) competitions, to be the most effective means of gauging their teams’ skill levels. This competition not only provides a platform for assessment but also fosters camaraderie and collaboration among team members.
Diverse Challenges for All Skill Levels
One of the standout features of the Global Cyber Skills Benchmark 2025 is its rich diversity of challenges. This year, participants will tackle over 40 challenges spread across 12 categories, including cloud security, blockchain technology, industrial control systems (ICS), and more. These challenges are designed to simulate real-world scenarios that cybersecurity professionals face daily, making the experience not just educational but also immensely practical. Whether you are a novice eager to learn or a seasoned expert looking to refine your skills, there is something for everyone.
Team Composition and Prizes
The competition is designed for teams ranging from 1 to 30 players, allowing organizations of various sizes to participate. Teams will compete for an impressive prize pool of over $50,000, which includes premium Hack The Box content and exclusive swag. This not only increases the competitive spirit but also incentivizes teams to push their limits and achieve their best performance. Participants will also receive certificates of attendance and can earn up to 6 Continuing Professional Education (CPE) credits by submitting their (ISC)² IDs, provided their teams score at least 15,000 points.
Exclusive Workshops and Talks
In addition to the main competition, HTB has arranged a series of exclusive workshops and talks on May 22, the day before the event kicks off. These sessions will feature industry experts sharing their insights and best practices, providing attendees with knowledge that can be directly applied to their roles in cybersecurity. This pre-event opportunity is perfect for teams looking to gain an edge by learning from the best in the field.
