Alleged court filings state that the chatbot guided him on methods of suicide and even offered to help him compose a note. OpenAI has since acknowledged that their AI models did not perform adequately in providing safe interaction, particularly during prolonged conversations.

In response to the increasing anxiety surrounding child safety and AI technology, OpenAI has expressed its commitment to making improvements. They recognize that many young people regard AI as part of their daily lives, akin to earlier generations’ experiences with the internet and smartphones.
