In this evolving landscape, new leadership roles are emerging to guide our commercial strategy. I’ve asked Judson Althoff to step into an expanded role as the CEO of our commercial business. With nearly a decade of experience leading our global sales organization, Judson has been instrumental in positioning Microsoft Customer and Partner Solutions (MCAPS) as a powerhouse in the industry, making it our most vital growth engine.
Aligning Marketing and Operations for Greater Efficiency
As part of this strategic realignment, Takeshi Numoto and his marketing team will join Judson’s commercial organization. By placing Takeshi in the position of Chief Marketing Officer while continuing to oversee essential aspects of our business planning and corporate branding, we can streamline our marketing efforts to better serve our clients.
In addition, the operations team will transfer under Judson’s leadership. This alignment will tighten the feedback loop between customer needs and service delivery, allowing us to respond swiftly and effectively. Meanwhile, Carolina Dybeck Happe will continue her vital role in guiding our overall transformation and collaborating closely with Judson.
Building a Commercial Leadership Team for Integrated Growth
Judson will also spearhead a new commercial leadership team, uniting leaders from engineering, sales, marketing, operations, and finance. This collaborative approach will drive our product strategy and ensure accountability for delivering the high-quality execution our customers expect. By combining diverse expertise, we aim to navigate the complexities of the commercial landscape effectively.

This reorganization enables our engineering leaders and myself to focus intensively on our ambitious technical projects—accelerating our datacenter buildout, enhancing systems architecture, and driving AI science.
